MEET THE ORPHEUS TEAM
A lifelong technologist, Benjamin Portman initially taught himself programming when he was just 8 years old. After graduating from Northwestern University in 2007, he pursued his passion for technology in engineering positions at Ntiva Inc, Ellucian and Smartronix. In 2015 he founded Orpheus, Inc. to help businesses use technology to work smarter. Since then the company has grown steadily under his leadership and successfully completed more than 200 web and mobile development projects.
Experienced in JavaScript, React, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, WordPress development, Redux, and UI frameworks. Mary Ann comes from 15 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience. Possesses excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills, with strengths in delivering exceptional client service and creative approaches. She is dedicated to combining her customer-focused sales, marketing, and leadership background with my programming skills in providing solutions with a positive impact as a software developer/engineer. An advocate for personal development and life-long learning, she is constantly seeking ways to improve and develop her skills.
Experienced in HTML, CSS, Javascript, C# and Go, along with various frameworks and subsets of each. Alan specializes in backend services, data management, and front end web development. Alan’s experiences with various industries from manufacturing, nutrition to commissary has made him more adaptive to new environments and concepts. With his past 9+ years as a system management and integration engineer, he’s constantly looking to improve efficiency and productivity, while reducing possibilities of errors in every project. Thinking steps ahead is his thing.
As a UX Designer with a background in Graphic Design, Bethany is a very detail-oriented person who sees things others don’t. Using her past 10-year experience as a graphic designer working with packaging design, she’s always had to keep the end-user in mind. Whether it’s making sure a physical package works for the consumer or having a delightful design, she methodically uses her research findings to make useful, impactful experiences. With her experience, she is wellversed in collaborating with diverse teams and presenting designs and solutions to stakeholders and being able to point out the details that others may miss.
Experienced in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python and C++, along with various libraries of each. Nelson Carlos Da Silva graduated from Old Dominion University, Norfolk and started his career as a systems engineer in 2020.
